Rare Video Game Hunting: TI-99 4A, Atari Lynx, N64, Dreamcast

You never know what you’re going to find when out yardsaling, checking thrift stores, and rummaging through swap meets (flea markets).

This past weekend I got almost everything in the above photos from one vendor at an area swap meet! The guy had a ton of stuff. I had gotten to know him on previous weeks, so I asked if we could make a deal for the lot. He was happy to clear out his stuff, and the next thing I knew I was carrying one of the heaviest boxes of retro video game treasures out of that swap meet!

Talk about a jackpot find! I’d never even seen an Atari Lynx before in the flesh! Also in photos is a TI-99 4A computer, a bunch of great NES games, a Sega Dreamcast with Power Stone 2 inside!!, Sega CD games, N64s, etc. I’m still smiling as I go through my look like a kid with a pile of Halloween candy.

I’m slowly getting everything listed on eBay, so if you see something here you like check my eBay store for these rare retro video games, and it’ll be up within a week or two if it isn’t already.

Rare Video Game Hunting: Lots of Sega Master System & Intellivision

A little while back I was out at an area flea market (swap meet), and my treasure hunting went quite well! I found a complete lot of Sega Master System stuff, and was quite excited that the 3D glasses still work. It’s not the best 3-D technology on Sega’s part; however, it was a good attempt.

Much of the rest of the stuff was boxed Intellivision games as well including a complete IntelliVoice. Got a Final Fantasy IX for PS1 as well as some assorted PS2 & GameCube stuff too.

In case you’re interested in the process of reselling your own stuff or own finds on eBay, here’s what some of the listed stuff that’s already sold went for:

“SEGA Master System 3-D 3D Glasses Goggles RARE +Adapter” sold for $46.28!

“LOT Sega Master System + 10 Games +Case +2 Controllers” sold for $114.94!

    Reproduction NES Games

Did you know that people are still making original 8-bit Nintendo (NES) games!?

As a NES collector, I can’t believe I discovered this fact just a couple months ago. Sure enough RetroZone, NES Reproductions, and Game Reproductions are still producing rare reproduction games, modded games, as well as some new original titles. Additionally, fans across the internet have been working on finishing original NES games that were in development but that were never finished.

Lucky me! I came across the photographed lot of such games in my treasure hunting. I’m excited to add try these out and to add them to my collection.

Titles in photo are as follows:
(Row 1) Mike Ditka’s Big Play Football, Airball, Pirate Booty
(Row 2) Super Mario Bros. 2, Bomber Mario, The Tower of Radia, Stadium Events, Nintendo World Chapsionship 1990
(Row 3) Chunkout 2, Geminim, Siamond, Sudoku, Mystic Pillars

I have an extra copy of Pirate Booty, which is a reproduction cart containing Hot Slots, Bubble Bath Babes, and Peek-a-Boo Poker (upper right in photo). If you’re interested in it, just let me know.
